Opening celebration of the KAAREM Santa Barbara brick-and-mortar store! This is a trio-grand opening with our neighbors, Domecíl and Palma Colectiva.

For our love for cà rem, we’re excited to have Creaminal (our favorite ice cream in Santa Barbara by Piti Sukavivatanachai and Kathy Dao) come pop-up with their ice cream cart! We’ll also have Vietnamese cocktails sponsored by Sông Cái Distillery.

As part of Downtown Santa Barbara Art District’s First Thursday, we are presenting a special art installation by artist Hope Ngozi Okere titled “Choreography of Sculpture”: a sculptural installation of fiber art, found earth objects, basketry and ceramics. Hope is a sculptor and movement artist based in Santa Barbara, CA. It will be on view at our space from December 7th through January 13th.

We are co-hosting the Victoria Court Holiday Artisan Market from 10-4pm. Victoria Court, where the KAAREM brick-and-mortar is nestled in, will be filled with artisans, artists, and makers with their amazing work available for sale. Along with the vendors, there will be musical programming and children activities throughout the courtyard. Come hang with the local Santa Barbara community on Saturday and visit our shop!

We’ll have a pop-up by a Los Angeles-based Korean American baker, Lauren Woore, with her delicious savory and sweet creations.

Vietnamese Coffee Pop-up by Chimlanh / Sandwich Hag! James Beard nominated best chef, Reye Duong, is coming all the way from Dallas, TX to pop-up in our shop to share her signature coffee drinks.

It’s going to be a great get-together in our space before we head into the holidays!
