“TÂM” / təm˧˧/ (Sino-Vietnamese - noun) means Heart.
Back in the Bronze Age, warriors donned sturdy bronze square shields to protect their chests during battle, reflecting the significance of safeguarding the body's vital areas. The chest and heart were regarded as sacred, necessitating robust defense against the perils of war. This protective gear, known as "Hộ Tâm Phiến" in Sino-Vietnamese translated to “The shield that protects the Heart”, served not only a practical purpose but also carried symbolic weight, illustrating the warrior's commitment to preserving not just their physical form but also the essence of life itself. The craftsmanship of these shields exemplified the blend of art and utility, showcasing the cultural values of honor and protection.
The square shape ring with intricate hand engraved details was taken after this inspiration.
