Inspired by the radiating, organic form of the sea urchin, the Nhum Top is an exploration of adaptability. It features a wide, rounded neckline and two elongated side panels that invite the wearer to become part of the design process. Whether left to flow freely or tied to create a gathered, architectural waist, this top is a versatile study in transparency and silhouette.
Like all KAAREM garments, the Nhum Top is born from an intentional, handtouch process in our Saigon studio. The silk organza is hand-cut from a zero-waste-inspired pattern, ensuring the long side panels drape with a natural, unforced weight. Every edge is meticulously hand-finished with our signature blind hem stitch... a detail that remains invisible, allowing the focus to stay on the ethereal quality of the fabric and the geometry of the tie.
The beauty of the Nhum Top lies in its capacity for transformation. The relaxed fit through the body ensures comfort, while the silk organza provides a soft structure that doesn't collapse. It is a foundational layering piece designed for creative expression:
For a cinched, structural look: Tie the side panels at the front or back to define the waist over a high-waisted pant and denim.
For a fluid, airy silhouette: Leave the panels untied to catch the air, layering it over a simple camisole and pant, or a fitted dress.
