The Đông Sơn bronze drums were central to ancient rituals and celebrations, crafted by our Ancestors. More than instruments, they embodied the ceremonies' essence. Each drum features a star, with 8 to 14 points symbolizing the Sun, surrounded by intricate designs of animals, birds, and human activities, celebrating humanity's connection to nature. Additionally, these drums served as an early Lunar Calendar, with the central Sun's points and distinct symbols reflecting celestial knowledge crucial for agriculture in Vietnam.
Lạc Bird: a mythical creature which seems like a crossover between stork, egret, crane, pelican, teal, or great hornbill. "Lạc" /laːk˨˩˨/ might be an ancient word for "waterfield", which translates Lạc Bird to "Waterfield bird" - a symbol that tights to the Agriculture aspect of the country.
