Elders give Lì Xì envelopes to their children and grandchildren as a gesture to bring good health, happiness and strength. Friends give them to each other to wish one another a year filled with luck (something we could all use a little bit of!).

Hand-Embroidered Lunar New Year Wish Trinkets

Dây Câu Chúc / Hand-Embroidered Lunar New Year Wish Trinkets , part of our zero-waste initiative, are made in our studio with 100% silk crepe de chine remnant fabric.

The trinkets are entirely handmade; featuring a hand-drawn, then hand-embroidered word, finished with a handmade tassel created with thread from our previous collections.

An — peace
Phúc — happiness
Lộc — prosperity
Thọ — longevity (for good health!)

With four different ‘wishes,’ you can choose to wish those in your life with peace, happiness, prosperity, longevity (for good health!), or all four.

Wish Trinket fits perfectly inside the silk pouch.

Handcrafted by the Studio Team

Each piece was entirely handcrafted in our studio - from the cutting, stitching, embroidery, to the tassel-making.

Floral weaved silk fabric, delicately cut.

The tassels are handcrafted using thread from our past collections.

Drawn and embroidered by hand by the Kaarem team.

The perfect comb to smooth out the thread.

Tầm xuân Lì xì

A note from Kaarem's studio director, Khuyên Lại on the intention behind the Lì xì & Trinket:

A few fun ways to welcome the new year:

✿ LOOK ✿

An editorial by Amanda Thơ Phạm and Linda Ha, featuring Kaarem outfits for Tết.

Tết is a time to gather, pay respects to ancestors, welcome Spring and celebrate the New Year. We carry on the rich traditions of Tết to celebrate and connect with our Vietnamese heritage. In moments where the future seems uncertain, connecting to our past gives us an opportunity to find a light to move forward.
